Creative Strategist?

As noted above, this position isn’t defined very well. And as the digital landscape splashes around roles and duties within the digital space it might be something very different tomorrow and is certainly different within each company. I define “creative strategist” as follows:

“Understanding the goals and objectives, the creative strategist facilitates ideas and concepts to develop the brand story, grow the creative team, and openly explore creative solutions and ideas.”

The creative strategist coexists between a traditional strategist/planner and a creative director. Concepting, leading brainstorms, and writing are some of the most important skills to bring to the table. Within a company, the creative strategist also works to creatively grow and facilitate the creative team, by supporting, guiding and growing ideas, but also the many individuals that collectively make the work.
